i saw it around noon and when i went back a couple hours later to take a picture, it was gone. . .
such a great dead unicorn it was.

| after 15 hours in the library, I have a few things to say: |

To the kind soul who sent down this Pikachu paper airplane of encouragement at crazy-o'clock in the morning: Thank you. I did do it! Your magical gift from above helped! I left it in the library so others could experience its luck as well.
To the troupe of people who handed out flowers to everyone: I don't know how or why you did that, but it was wonderful. My daisies are enjoying a new home in a mug on my desk. You are proof of the good in this world.
Finally, to the slumber party that set up camp next to my original study spot: It was cute when you arrived and quietly built your blanket fort. It was a pretty cool blanket fort, and I didn't mind studying in the little Narnia the first few of you created. It was not cute when you proceeded to invite all your friends and have a very noisy time five feet from the table where a bunch of us were studying. I can understand how you may have misinterpreted our spontaneous Cher-singing pump-up session as an invitation to obnoxiously play party games next to us. But it was not. We were working. I had 15 pages to write and you were very loudly flaunting your lack of homework in a corner that we had staked out because it was relatively quiet and out-of-the-way. We had been there at least an hour before you showed up, and your disrespect for our study space was not acceptable by any means. Next time you want to celebrate, please be conscientious with your choice of location.
PS-to anyone who saw my brief 6am yoga sesh, I'm sorry. It must have looked weird. |

My apartment-mate and I would really like to move out of our luxurious apartment in Alumni. I know, too good to be true right? We've had a few tiffs with our two other roommates, but they're lovely people. We also kinda feel like we're wasting the apartment experience because we don't cook or anything, or stay here for breaks. So if you and your bff would like to upgrade your double wherever to two nice singles in PREP housing, please let me know. I know we missed the deadline for swaps and stuff but it can still be worked out. Or if there are two separate lonely souls out there, hit me up too. |

Please, please, please, for the love of all things good and beautiful, could someone give me a ride to the Westchester airport on Friday? Any time before 3:30, I'll leave at 9am if that's when you're willing to take me. I'll pay you $5 for it, if that will convince you. I'm pretty good at vaguely interesting conversation, so the 7 minute car ride won't be awkward.
(I'm flying out at 5:20, to Chicago for a layover before another flight to Tuscon, if it matters to you.)
I'll reiterate more basically.
I NEED:
-ride to Westchester airport
-on Friday
-any time before 3:30pm
It's possible that a friend will step forward, but I'm making sure I've got it covered. |
